We open up to the Nitro-Wilk residence as we see Nate Nitro enter through the front door carrying a couple of bags of groceries.

Nate

I’m home!

Mimi

Papa!

Nate places the grocery bags down on the kitchen top as Mimi runs over to him and into his arms as he lifts her up.

Nate

Boy are you getting big! Soon you’ll be lifting me up instead of the other way around!

Mimi giggles.

Nate

So what has my favorite daughter been up to? And where’s your Momma?

Mimi

Drawing pictures! And Momma went to the bathroom… she’s been there for a while…

A slight look of confusion crosses Nate’s face as he glances over to the stairs leading upstairs. He then gives Mimi a kiss on the side of the head before putting her back down.

Nate

You finish your picture and Papa will check it out later after he’s checked on Momma, okay?

Mimi

Okay!

Nate makes his way up the stairs and approaches the bathroom door. Raising his closed fist, he knocks on the locked door a couple of times, turning his head so his ear is facing the door.

Nate

Mina? Is everything okay in there?

Mina sat on the toilet looking at the three different plastic applicators in her hand. The knock startles her enough to break her from her thoughts.

Mina

I’ll be right out, Love. I, um, oh boy…

From the other side of the door, Nate can hear the clinking of the applicators on the marble sink.

Nate

Okay… I’ll just be downstairs making dinner.

Deciding not to pry despite being curious as to what the clinking noise was, Nate shrugs before heading back downstairs and back into the kitchen where he begins to empty the contents of the grocery bags.

Mimi

Is Momma okay?

Nate

Of course she is, kiddo. She’ll be down shortly.

A couple of minutes later, Mina comes downstairs and seeing Nate in the kitchen, comes up behind him and hugs him, and whispers in his ear.

Mina

Are you ready for a second child?

Nate drops a tin he was removing from the bag as Mina says this and he quickly turns to face his wife.

Nate

What? Wait… you’re…

He’s at a loss for words as he tries to make sense of what was just said to him as he points to Mina’s stomach. Mina laughs nervously as she holds up the three pregnancy tests she took. She nods her head as she looks in his eyes.

Mina

Yeah, I am. New pup to arrive in the new year.

Nate suddenly hoists his wife up into his arms and spins around, hugging her while laughing before finally setting her back down and he plants a long, passionate kiss on her lips.

Nate

I love you so much!

Mina

I love you too.

Meanwhile, as all of this has been going on, Mimi has been watching them and listening before going back to her drawing. After a couple of minutes, she walks over and hands Mina a picture of four people together in front of their house. Mina smiles and picks up Mimi in her arms.

Mina

It’s beautiful, honey. So, would you like a little brother or a little sister?

Mimi puts her finger to her chin in thought and smirks.

Mimi

Well, if I had a younger sister, we could share clothes and play together. If I had a little brother, maybe I can become a Shieldmaiden and protect him and you and Papa protect us. I can’t choose!

Nate chuckles as he gives Mimi a kiss on the side of her head.

Nate

Either way… you’re going to be the best big sister ever, Mimi.

He then turns to Mina.

Nate

And you… are gonna continue to be the best Mom in the world.

Mina leans into Nate as she continues to hold Mimi.

Mina

And we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you, Babe. So, Wolfman, I'll ask again. Are you ready for a second pup?

Nate

As ready as I’ll ever be.

Nate then places his hand onto his wife’s stomach with both Mina and Mimi looking down as we fade.
